Sertoma National Election

Wondering who the Junior Vice President, Director At Large, and Regional Director candidates are? Select the Candidate Bios link in the left-hand menu to learn more!

In order to vote, you must have a valid username and password for the Sertoma website. Not sure if you have a login? It's easy to check. Click on Log In/Out and then Forgotten Password. You will receive an email with a link to reset your password. If the email doesn't appear in a short amount of time, check your spam or junk mail folders to see if it was moved there. 

If you do not have a login, please create one by going to the Sertoma Member Center and then select “Update/Create Your Profile” at the bottom right of page. It can take 1-2 business days for your username to be validated for participation in the election, so please do so prior to the beginning of the online voting dates. No new accounts will be processed after individual voting opens.

Ballot Questions
Should the Director At Large position be eliminated, which would reduce costs for the National Organization and also create a more efficient Board for Sertoma?

These measures are primarily designed to create a Board of Directors that will be able to make decisions quickly, and will correspond to the needs of a working Board (rather than advisory), which is what ours is.

 

Should the “Presidential Offices” be changed from Junior Vice President, Senior Vice President, President-Elect and President to Vice President, President Elect, and President? This change will reduce expenses for the Board of Directors and allow for a more efficient decision-making process for the Board.

 

The "Presidential Ladder" change is designed to ensure a path that isn't arduous to the Presidency. Currently, there's approximately 7 years from the time a Board member is elected as a Director until he or she assumes the presidency. This measure will cut that time, and will also more "right size" the Executive Committee. These moves will also reduce board overhead cost by eliminating travel costs and meeting expenses.
